CWA Dagger Shortlist Announced

July 23rd 2010: The shortlist for the CWA Gold Dagger was announced at a lunchtime ceremony at the The Crown Hotel, Harrogate during the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival. This award, which carries a prize of £2,500, is made for the best crime novel, originally written in English, published in the UK in the year to 31 May. These Daggers will be awarded at a televised ceremony in the Autumn, as part of the Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards.

This is an intriguing list. I recognized about two book titles. I see Don Winslow is up for the Gentleman's Hour. Haven't heard of that book at all. Is it the same Don?Are the other books available here in the US?

Not all these books are available here, and not the Winslow. It's the same Don Winslow and not the erotica guy.

On the list, I loved A Thousand Cuts (Rupture). It's available in the U.S. I'll check the others. Lots of titles new to me.
