I've found it very interesting because the emphasis is on the craft of writing. One year there was an excellent track on screen writing, and I learned a lot about that side of the business. Two years ago we gave a two hour session on settings. This year we're doing short stories, since our latest, The Piper (about Hamish!) just came out from Harper Collins. It's a different sort of convention and well worth trying. Also, nothing like seeing green parrots over the pool in Feb. when everything at home is icy cold.
