Looks promising.I like the cast. Mathew McConnahagy (misspelled I know) has a bland Everyman face which is right for the part and Marisa Tomei is always excellent.
I interviewed MC recently for an article in a NZ newspaper, and we chatted about the upcoming film. He was pretty excited, and commented on the great cast "being ten deep". I see what he means now - jeez, there's some great actors there in smaller roles too...
I can't wait either. This was one of the best legal thrillers ever and Connelly's best, in my view.
I had not pictured McConnaughey at the lead actor, but more of a thinner, nonmuscular, darker haired, less of a "hunk"-type actor. Not a stand-out type.
Marisa Tomei is great. The rest of the cast is fine.
I liked McConnaughey in Grisham's "A Time to Kill," though.
I'll just have to see it. I'm sure it'll be exciting and good anyway and may send me to reread the book.
Great looking trailer. I wasn't all that crazy about the book, but the trailer may make me see the film. My favorite Connelly books are still: THE POET, TRUNK MUSIC, ECHO PARK. Wish they'd film one of those.
