Thanksgiving. I have a lot to
give thanks for -- my family, my friends, and the wonderful
mystery community. Once again we'll be going to my sister's home for a multi-generational Thanksgiving --ages 2 weeks to 93! My family is as dysfunctional as most, but we don't stoop to murder! That can't be said for the
families in the following updated list of Thanksgiving Mysteries. As the saying goes, "Families are like Fudge, sweet with a few Nuts thrown in." As always, please let me know about any titles I've missed.
And speaking of Chocolate, I've posted recipes on DyingforChocolate.com for delicious Thanksgiving dishes including Spicy Chocolate Turkey Rub, White Chocolate Mashed Potatoes, Chocolate Pecan Pie, Double Layer Chocolate Pumpkin Mousse Pie, and Chocolate Pumpkin Pie! Be sure to check out DyingforChocolate.com.

Let me know if I've forgotten any titles!
That Collier's cover brings back old memories. I read short stories in the magazine as a teenager. Hadn't thought of Collier's in ages.
ReplyDeleteYou have The Killer Wore Cranberry listed, Janet, but you're missing The Killer Wore Cranberry: A Second Helping (Untreed Reads Publishing 2012, same editor as the first anthology in the series), and The Killer Wore Cranberry: Room For Thirds (Untreed Reads 2013, same editor). Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janet, for the opportunity to add:
ReplyDelete"Murder, She Wrote: A Fatal Feast"
by Jessica Fletcher and Donald Bain.
Have a great holiday, everyone!
Oops! Missed it! Sorry.
ReplyDeleteAlex Sokoloff's The Harrowing!
ReplyDeleteI, too, got pulled in by the title of Lilian Jackson Braun's The Cat Who Talked Turkey. Nope. This novel is instead set around the end of June. Wild turkeys make a meaningless appearance at the main character's farm.
ReplyDeleteA weak later-era novel; I'm thankful it only cost me $1.50 for a used copy :)
