I've just watched Season 19 of Midsomer Murders, one of my favorite long-running series. Loved all four episodes. Only wish there were more.
Midsomer Murders returns to AcornTV on March 6 with four new feature-length episodes set in England’s most murderous county. Let's face it, you don't want to live there! People are always dying, and in unique ways.
The capable Detective Chief Inspector John Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon) and new assistant DS Jamie Winter (Nick Hendrix) investigate the cozy villages of Midsomer’s most sinister secrets, including a murder in a ghost village and a body found covered in rabbits at a local pet show.
DS Ben Jones (Jason Hughes) returns in a guest appearance in Episode 3 as Barnaby and Winter investigate the death of a star cricketer. Also guest starring Neil Morrissey (Men Behaving Badly), Susan Hampshire (The First Churchills, Monarch of the Glen), Natasha Little (The Night Manager), and more.
Series 1-18 of Midsomer Murders now streaming on Acorn TV. Catch up before Series 19, Part 1 premieres.
Yippee!! My favorite also. Makes my monthly bill from Acorn worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteepisode 3 looks worth watching just for the guest stars. I am a fan of Jason Hughes and was sorry to see him leave
ReplyDeleteWhy only four? I have to feed the addiction.
ReplyDeleteI know.. I need at least 10..a season

ReplyDeleteEditing my post: I am trying to decide if I should pay for Acorn this month to watch Midsomer Murders. Acorn is only providing part 1 of all 4 episodes for Season 19? When will part 2 become available?
DeleteWatch on Netflix
DeleteI also watch on Netflix
DeleteI think they'll offer one a week, and they'll be available for some time.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Janet. I will probably wait until parts 1 and 2 are available.
DeleteHi, I thought they were doing all 4, just introducing one a week..
ReplyDeleteI hate this weekly stuff. We buy streaming channels to binge watch not wait like regular TV!!! STOP!
ReplyDeleteWhen are the other two episodes coming available? Wiki says there are six....
ReplyDeleteHi, Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteI've seen that written, but there are only 4 that have been shown in the UK and here.
Me, too, both satisfied and frustrated. In the meantime, since I've reactivated my Acorn account, I'll check out the feature-length movie based on Jill McGown's Lloyd and Hill (Danny??? Duncan was considered too highbrow a name for their demographics?) and see if there's anything else I've missed.
ReplyDeleteThe other two episodes aren't airing until December according to the episode list wiki.
ReplyDeleteYes, Mindy, Netflix got it on Friday. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhy only 4.
ReplyDeleteI want at least 13.
love the show. Miss Sykes but the new puppy
is adorable.
Like to see Ben come back for good.

I would love to have the wife do something
more to help Barnaby. They are so good
together. How about she becomes a consultant
or something.
I just don't understand! This is such a popular show, why are they only doing a few shows per year now? In the past it seems that they had regular seasons with several shows in fall and then several more in spring like all the other shows.
ReplyDeleteWish I knew the answer. Yes, the early series had 13 episodes or so..
ReplyDeleteWatched Season 19, Part 1. Loved it. I like the new character. Ben even makes an appearance, I really liked that. When can we expect Part 2. Yes, I'm a greedy American who loves British movies and series.
ReplyDeleteThe Library Lady: Acorn TV is running the new episodes (4 of them) one per week, but then they'll all be on for awhile. There will be two more episodes filmed this year and shown in the UK in December (I think), so we should have those early 2018 (or before, hopefully). Yes, I loved seeing Ben in the episode.
ReplyDeleteLive in America but also hooked on this series.
ReplyDeleteWe watch it on Netflix but only carrying it to Series 18, how can we watch 19+ here? Any way to access it through other channels or internet?
