Reminds me of my kindergarten and first grade days at school....when the siren would go and we had to scramble under our desks. This was in the early 1950s!
Gosh, we didn't have dog tags...but we wore a medal and chain as part of our school uniform (Parochial School) so I guess we'd be sorted out in the afterlife!
I love it. How could they for a second have thought we'd be any safer under our desks, but yes, we had to do that in drills.

ReplyDeleteWe never di that at my school...maybe our town was too small.
ReplyDeleteWe even wore dog tags so they could identify our poor little bodies! We used them for hopscotch tokens.
