Chantelle Aimée Osman: New Acquistions Editor of Riverdale Avenue Books' Dagger Imprint

Riverdale Avenue Books, known for embracing cultural and gender diversity, and winner of the Bi-Publisher of the Year award, announced the relaunch of their Dagger imprint under the direction of publishing maven Chantelle Aimée Osman, former Editor-in-Chief of RT Book Reviews.

Dagger, will focus on mystery, thriller and suspense, with a solid appeal to the female reader. Riverdale is looking for Dagger to be synonymous with a range of strong and unique voices who truly represent the modern world.

“We live in exciting, constantly changing times and we are looking for edge-of-your seat fiction to tell those stories. Chantelle knows the suspense market and will bring that immediacy to the books we publish,” said Publisher Lori Perkins.

“I am thrilled to be working with Lori and joining Riverdale, a publisher who places such importance on cultural and social issues,” said Osman. “Using that as a lodestone for Dagger to discover new voices in mystery/suspense/thriller is exciting and overdue."

Chantelle Aimée Osman is the Acquisitions Editor for Dagger, an imprint of Riverdale Avenue Books, a consultant with 22 Literary and former editor-in-chief of RT Book Reviews. A freelance editor specializing in mystery/suspense/thriller, science-fiction and fantasy, she is also an instructor with the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing. Chantelle is the author of the non-fiction series on writing The Quick and Dirty Guide To… and has also published numerous flash fiction and short stories. She is currently editing an episodic anthology, Serial Killer, featuring authors Jeffery Deaver and Eoin Colfer. She was named a Left Coast Crime Guest of Honor in 2016.
