Librarians who write mysteries: Check out Robert Lopresti's article on SleuthSayers. You'll be surprised!
My favorite: Jasper Fforde’s Great Library
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with story telling, books, and libraries when I was very young. It helped having a house full of books in many languages and a library nearby that was a Gilded Age beauty, built in the early 1900s to look like a Venetian palazzo. Going there was a weekly glimpse of heaven.
ReplyDeleteI love the Dr. Edward George series. I wish he had had time to write more of them.
ReplyDeleteI hope this counts. PIP Inc. Mysteries. Pat Pirard is the Santa Cruz County Law Librarian who gets downsized and takes up being a PI to keep food on the table. She uses much of what she’s learned in her specialized capacity to solve mysteries and murders sometimes massaging the legal requirements a licensed PI would need to follow because she’s an unlicensed amateur.
ReplyDeleteJust finished Brad Parks' Interference, which features a librarian trying to solve her husband's disappearance.
