HAPPY VALLEY, SEASON 3 air date

Happy Valley, a great British Mystery Series, is set to return for Season 3 after a 5 year hiatus. It won the BAFTA for Best Drama Series in 2015. And, in case you're not aware, the valley where it takes place is anything but happy! Years have passed but Sergeant Catherine Cawood, played by Sarah Lancashire, is still a cop in the Calder Valley/Hebden Bridge area near Halifax in West Yorkshire. 

RadioTimes.com tells us that the third season has Sergeant Catherine Cawood discovering the remains of a gangland murder victim in a drained reservoir (Reservoir Noir?), and things lead her to Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton), who's been in prison since Season 1. There will also be new characters and several familiar ones. 

Release Date: UK: January 1, 2023. BBC One. 9 pm.
