CANDICE RENOIR, Season 8, premieres on AcornTV

CANDICE RENOIR, SEASON 8, DECEMBER 11 on
AcornTV. I'm so glad that Season 8 is dropping so soon after Season 7. Can the other seasons be far behind?

There are 10 seasons and a feature length special of Candice RenoirIf you haven't seen this series before, or if you just want to rewatch, AcornTV has the first 7 seasons here.

I love this series about French police detective Candice Renoir.  Cécile Bois stars as Candice Renoir, a mother of four who took a decade-long hiatus from her role as a Parisian police detective to accompany her husband on job assignments around the world. Newly divorced, she returns to the force while also learning to manage as a single mother. She’s out of practice and her new colleagues find her maternal ways and love of pink a bit annoying – but she’s a clever detective with a strong drive for justice, and she’ll eventually win them around. They often call her Barbie. Lots of relationships, crime, setting, and justice in this fast paced French series.

There are 10 episodes in Season 8. Candice Renoir is in French with subtitles.

  1. I've been waiting to hear when Season 8 might be on Acorn. Thank you, Janet, for being the first to let me know.

I'm wrapped in the lives of all the characters, some long-time, some new. Someone I know says it's like a soap opera, but really, it's quite intelligent. The cases are interesting, Candice is clever and funny, indeed. Balancing her career and her four children and dog, her many loves is really entertaining. I watch this with subtitles of course, but after viewing 7 seasons, I swear I hear the characters in English rather than French. Smiles - Can't wait for December 11th!

    1. I totally agree with loving this
      series. The actors are great
      and the mixing of Candice’s
home life and job make it
      have perfect depth and
realness to it. I watch the
      episodes many times and
hate the thought of it ending!

    2. I believe Theo went to live with his father I think in early season 7 , and Leo is on every once in a while, currently staying with Max, who Candace was briefly married to in season 7

  7. That's very odd about not getting Season 8 of Candice. I'm able to get it. I did have to navigate through AcornTV...as one place when I clicked on Candice, Season 8, was not available.. But then I went to the list of seasons on the left, clicked on that, and Season 8 appeared. Very odd. Not user friendly.

  8. I just checked again, and all the episodes of Season 8 were three. I have the AcornTV app on my AppleTV..perhaps your Acorn is through another service such as Xfinity/Comcast? I don't know if that's the reason, but I've watched two episodes of Season 8 already.

  9. I just wished they played season 10 showing how much she has suffered trying to help every one, especially Antoine. She ends up back on top but a little is taking away because she is blonde beautiful and smart. Wish they do little of her

  10. We were only able to watch through season 8 on Acorn. Can't find season 9 or 10 on Roku or Acorn. Going to look at Nerflix and a couple others. Hopefully we'll find them. We love that show too.
