T. Jefferson Parker Mystery Award 2016

The Southern California Independent Booksellers Association (SCIBA):
Noah Hawley has won the 2016 T. Jefferson Parker Mystery Award for Before the Fall (Grand Central Publishing).

Other nominated novels:
Orphan X, by Gregg Hurwitz (Minotaur)
The Promise, by Robert Crais (Putnam).

The Parker Award recognizes excellence in books that reflect Southern California culture or lifestyle, with authors/illustrators living within the SCIBA region. The mystery award is named after T. Jefferson Parker, a life-long resident of Southern California and Edgar Award-winning author. This year’s winners were named during the SCIBA Trade Show in Los Angeles, October 21-22.

T. Jefferson Parker Award Nominees

The Southern California Independent Booksellers Association selects seven award-winning titles.

The Cartel wins T. Jefferson Parker Mystery Award

Congratulations to Don Winslow for winning the T. Jefferson Parker Mystery Award for The Cartel

The Southern California Independent Booksellers Association (SCIBA) recognizes excellence in books that reflect Southern California culture or lifestyle, with authors/illustrators living within the SCIBA region.

The mystery award is named after T. Jefferson Parker, a life-long resident of Southern California and Edgar Award-winning author.

The Cartel was one of three finalists. The other finalists were:
Marry, Kiss, Kill by Anne Flett-Giordano
The Replacements by David Putnam

T. Jefferson Parker Mystery Award

The Southern California Independent Booksellers Association (SCIBA) awarded the 2013 book prizes. The recipient of this year’s T. Jefferson Parker Mystery Award is What the Heart Remembers by Debra Ginsberg (NAL).

Finalists included Strawberry Yellow by Naomi Hirahara (Prospect Park) and Suspect by Robert Crais (Putnam).

T. Jefferson Parker Award for Mystery

The Southern California Independent Booksellers Association (SCIBA) announced the T. Jefferson Parker Award for Mystery last week, aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. The 2012 award went to Don Winslow for Kings of Cool (Simon & Schuster). This award recognizes excellence in books that reflect Southern California culture or lifestyle, with authors living within the SCIBA region. The mystery award is named after T. Jefferson Parker, a life-long resident of Southern California and Edgar Award-winning author.
