Midsomer Murders, Season 24, premieres on AcornTV on December 4.
Midsomer Murders is one of the longest-running mysteries currently still airing. It first aired in 1997 (first with John Nettles as DCI Tom Barnaby, then with Neil Dudgeon as DCI John Barnaby). The series is based on Caroline Graham's Chief Inspector Barnaby novels. The series is set in the fictional Midsomer County, and follows two different DCI Barnabys as they solve quirky murders occurring in lovely small villages. It's mystery 'lite', and the murders often require some suspension of disbelief. I'm o.k. with that.

I had to search on AcornTV..It was immediately apparent. I also heard that people who get Acorn through Comcast have to wait a day.

I have watched every season and every episode of Midsomer Murders. I was excited for 24 but have watched the first three and am so disappointed. Barnaby acts less like the intellectual thinker and his wife makes him behave in foolish ways. His wife seems to also be more one dimensional and at odds with him, even rude which isn’t like her. Annette Badland behaves foolishly and speaks so derogatory towards Winter that it’s like 5 year old humor where she makes faces behind his back and pretends to pee on the wall!? It’s almost like they are all less of who they once were. Definitely not up to standard this season. The stories don’t grab much either. If this were a Season 1 there never would have been a season 2
