THE MARLOW MURDER CLUB: Season 3 News

Mark your calendars! The Marlow Murder Club returns to MASTERPIECE Mystery! for Season 3 on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, on MASTERPIECE on PBS. In Season 3, Judith Potts (Samantha Bond), Suzie Harris (Jo Martin), Becks Starling (Cara Horgan), and DI Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew) all return to solve a string of high-profile murders including that of the mayor and a popular chef. Seasons 1 & 2 of the series are available to stream via PBS and PBS MASTERPIECE on Prime Video.

I've watched the first two episodes, and they're terrific. I love this series, and the first two episodes (one story) involve a poison garden. Well, that's right up my alley. As many of you know I have a great garden, divided into individual patches. Although I used to have a designated poison garden, I now have only some poisonous plants incorporated into my other garden plots.  Still, I loved seeing a dedicated poison garden, replete with signage. So beautiful--and deadly. And, not a secret, but fun was the guest appearance of Peter Davidson. Such fun! Everything about The Marlow Murder Club appeals to me--the acting, the setting, the house, the river, the gardens. Mark your calendar for September 6!

Season 3: Returning to solve more complex and intriguing murders in Marlow are meticulous crossword-setter Judith Potts (Samantha Bond), pillar of the community and vicar’s wife Becks Starling (Cara Horgan), and no-nonsense dog walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin). Working tirelessly alongside DI Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew) and her police team, our crime-solving trio put their unconventional methods into practice to catch the killers in six new episodes. There will be three two-part stories.

The Marlow Murder Club News: PBS Masterpiece

Good News. Season 2 of The Marlow Murder Club premieres on Masterpiece PBS on Sunday, August 24 at 9/8c with writer, creator and Executive Producer Robert Thorogood joining forces with Lucia Haynes (Annika, Vera) and Julia Gilbert (Ridley, Midsomer Murders) for six all-new episodes.

While life in the idyllic town of Marlow has just about returned to normal after a chain of murders rattled the tightly knit community, it’s not long before retired archaeologist Judith Potts, dog-walker Suzie Harris, and Vicar’s wife Becks Starling are called back into action to solve a series of new crimes that befall the local residents. From a seemingly impossible murder inside the locked study of a sweeping mansion to the mysterious case of a man with no connection to the town murdered in the middle of a sleepy cul-de-sac, and an unexpectedly brutal accident at the prestigious Marlow sailing club that quickly reveals itself to be something more sinister, there’s no rest for our sleuthing trio. Navigating the delicate balance of Marlow society—from local aristocracy to the workers at the local boatyard, the pubs and cafes of the high street to a newly established archaeological dig—Judith, Becks, and Suzie dig into all corners of Marlow life as they assist DCI Tanika Malik in her official investigations.

MASTERPIECE MYSTERY! FALL PROGRAMMING

PBS MASTERPIECE Mystery! Fall programming. I'm a huge fan of PBS Passport. Donate a minimum of $60 to your local PBS Station, and you will have all the programs (most with all episodes at time of first episode), plus so much more! There are other ways of seeing these programs, but that's my favorite since the $ goes directly to your local station.

Moonflower Murders

Premiere Date: September 15, 9/8c PBS

I've seen the first two episodes, and they're great--good story, terrific actors, such a great mix of time periods and storyline. Exactly what we've come to expect of this great show, based on Anthony Horowitz's novel.  FYI: Magpie Murders is still available on PBS

Van der Valk, Season 4

Premiere Date: September 15, 10/9c PBS

The Marlow Murder Club

Premiere Date: October 27, 9/8c on PBS
