2010 Maltese Falcon Award
Jiro Kimura at The Gumshoe Site tells us that U.S. author Don Winslow has won the 2010 Maltese Falcon Award for his novel The Power of the Dog (originally published in 2005).
The Falcon is given out by the Maltese Falcon Society of Japan to “the best hard-boiled/private eye novel published in Japan in the previous year.”

Janet - Thanks for this update. This is great news : ).
Don deserves it.I only wish he would continue his series. He is a thriller writer with a sense of humor which makes him unusual.
