Love this illustration! Being a child of the 50s, I remember learning to read through Dick and Jane books and then attempting to display my comprehension through the accompanying "Think and Do" books! I now collect vintage readers; they hold a place of honor on a shelf all their own, but I don't look through them nearly often enough. Maybe I have this picture hiding in there somewhere?
