Erle Stanley Gardner used for his
Cool and Lam series (Bertha Cool and Donald Lam). This is #11 in that series, and was first published in 1947.

Man, 25 cents! Today a new or premium pocket mystery cost $14 to $19. Great book, great cover and back, and love the title. Really cool, or should I say...Cool and Lam. TXS,
