Happy Birthday to Me! Birthday Crime Fiction

Tomorrow is my Birthday, and it's a big one! Even though I've had both shots and two boosters, I won't be venturing too far or celebrating with a crowd. But you can celebrate virtually with me by reading one of these Birthday Themed Mysteries. Every year I get older, and every year the list gets longer. Any titles missing? Make a comment below, and I'll add it to the list! Have a favorite? Let me know!

Death in the Garden by Elizabeth Ironside. Here's a bit of the synopsis: The novel shifts between the 1920s and the 1990s. In 1925 the beautiful Diana Pollexfen, former bohemian photographer and now more conventional wife to an MP, is celebrating her 30th birthday. She invites some of her oldest and closest friends to a party at their country estate, but the celebrations end with the tragic death of her husband, George. He has been poisoned by a cocktail that contains more photographic chemicals than alcohol.

Also: The Cannibal Who Overate by Hugh Pentecost (part of the description: Aubrey Moon, the superrich, sadistic own of one of the Beaumont's rooftop suites tries to disrupt everything and everybody with the planning of his annual birthday bash. He doesn't want much--just exotic foods and flowers flown in from all corners of the globe, the chorus of the Metropolitan Opera to sing "Happy Birthday," and to-the-second timing on every single item on the agenda.)

You're welcome! And Happy Birthday!

Here's Another:

The Old Die Young by Richard Lockridge (Branson has apparently succumbed to a reaction to a sleeping pill. His friends, dresser, fellow actors, agent, and ex-wives all knew that he was susceptible to severe reactions to small doses. And most of these people were at the surprise birthday party held the night before Branson's death--giving them ample opportunity to slip a little something into the birthday boy's drink.)

Happy Birthday, Janet. I don't have a birthday murder to add to your list, but I wish you a safe and joy-filled day.
