Famous Authors and their Typewriters

Following up on the typewriter theme: Flavorwire, another of my favorite sites, had a wonderful retrospective on Authors and their Typewriters. Enjoy! See the rest of the fabulous photos HERE.

Agatha Christie, 1946

Alfred Hitchcock, 1939
William Faulkner, 1943

Janet - Oh, these are great! I love Agatha Christie's writing room. I want it. Now. ;-)

Yes, and it's so uncluttered! Did you see the iPad Typewriter on the link?

Janet you have been busy haven't you? ;-) I love knowing inside things about writers. Great looking at these writers working at their typewriters. Christie's room was way to neat for me but lovely to see her at work. I loved the two finder typing of Hitchcock and the casual beach look of Falkner.

I must have missed something because I didn't see the program that Lj mentioned. :-( is there a link for that?

Wonderful pictures. Agatha Christie's environment is like the books she wrote - cozy, warm and welcoming.

Sly, I missed that program, too. I'll do a search for it.
