I put together a huge list of Christmas Mysteries again this year, and I'm sure some of those authors/titles reference the Winter Solstice, too. Here are a few that really center on the Winter Solstice. Any titles/authors I should add?
Winter Solstice Mysteries
Fitt, Mary: Death and the Shortest Day
Joan Hess: A Holly Jolly Murder
Jane Langton: The Shortest Day: Murder at the Revels
Henning Mankel: Italian Shoes
Ngaio Marsh: Off with His Head
Gladys Mitchell: The Dancing Druids
And, if you want to celebrate your Winter Solstice in chocolate, check out How to Make a Yule Log aka Buche de Noel on my other blog, DyingforChocolate.com.

What about THE DARKEST EVENING by Anne Cleeves?
I thought I got this from your list but maybe not: Yuletide Homicide by Jennifer David Hess.
I really want to read that first one, Death and the Shortest Day, but not only is it long out of print/almost completely unavailable (just a few astronomically expensive copies and I'm not sure I want to read it enough to invest that heavily), but very few libraries own a copy so the chance of my library obtaining it via ILL is next to none. Luckily I was able to get The Dancing Druids for $1.50 from Kindle, and Off with His Head shouldn't be too hard to come by for next year since Ngaio Marsh is still fairly popular.
This year, though, I'm reading another solstice mystery: Beauty, Beast and Belladonna by Maia Chance.
