I mentioned yesterday that the DCI Banks production would start airing on PBS stations in the U.S. this week. The TV productions are 'adapted' from Peter Robinson's novels. Here's an article by Peter Robinson about casting.

I think Stephen Tompkinson is perfect. Anyone who has seen him in "October" a wonderful sci fi series knows he can do dark. Good article in the Telegraph. I'm looking forward to teh series.
Ummm...I'm not such a fan of Tompkinson. Watched the first episode tonight. Robinson is a favorite writer of mine and I'd give this only a B or B- for capturing the character of his wonderful series, alas. - Susan Shea
Missed it last night, but it's on the list for next week. Thanks for letting us know. :-)
None of the characters match my imagination and the plot was changed for Aftermath but I am loving it nonetheless. It is BANKS.
