NOIR CITY Austin
I meant to post this before, but it's not too late to attend this weekend!
The first ever NOIR CITY Austin kicked off last night at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz with a screening of the Film Noir Foundation's latest restoration project Too Late for Tears.
NOIR CITY Austin will have screenings of the FNF funded 35mm restorations of Try and Get Me!, Cry Danger, and Repeat Performance. FNF president Eddie Muller hosts the three day festival which runs through March 2. Muller will be presenting a mix of iconic films noir and recently rediscovered classics of the genre culled from over a decade of NOIR CITY festivals. The films feature an array of noir icons: John Garfield, Dick Powell and Audrey Totter, as well as the legendary dark duo of Sidney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre.
What a fantastic weekend!
