MYSTERY SCENE MAGAZINE: Farewell

Sad news. Kate Stine, editor of Mystery Scene Magazine, a fabulous publications with all the mystery news, including interviews, reviews, and more, shares the news that the November issue will be the last. It's a stalwart in the mystery community, and it will be missed.

More information to come.

Very sad news. It's corresponding title for fantasy/sf/horror, LOCUS also facing tough times. I suspect every newsstand magazine is, just about.

So sorry to learn of this news. Will it go digital? I hope.

Say it isn't so. I am really disappointed that this superior periodical will no longer be published. I was just looking at the latest edition today. As Adult Services Librarian in our local library it provided a professional tool to keep abreast of the mystery genre. I also felt it was a must for our mystery loving patrons, not only to inform them of what was being published but also of what had been published in the past. A very sad day for me.

So sorry to hear that. I use to write reviews for them.

They should try to offer digital subscriptions. There are other similar publications that do.

For example, Ellery Queen is available on e-readers (Kindle or otherwise). :)

Sadly, it's true, but they're looking for a buyer.
