Alfred Hitchcock Introduction to The Birds

I came across this fabulous trailer of Alfred Hitchcock introducing The Birds. Having a home in Bodega Bay, I have a special relationship with this movie.

Janet - Nobody did suspense like Hitchcock.. Love this! I really like that dry humour, too. Thanks!

I'm embarrassed to say I was too scared to watch it! I'll get up my nerve and rent it now. We have so many crows and ravens here that I'm already a little spooked! But, after all ,it's just fiction...isn't it?

Wasn't he terrific! I saw this movie on T.V. as a girl and was scared to go out into the farm yard the rest of the day. Janet, your post has led me to other interesting reads; I've now learned about the Bodega Bay connection to "The Birds" and have read some interesting bits about Daphne Du Maurier's life.

Bobbi, so glad. Yes, duMaurier was fascinating, too. When you come to the Bay Area, we have to go to Bodega Bay! The Birds!!! Several years ago I actually got to do several mystery events at the schoolhouse. It's a private residence, but Ford Motor Co rented it out for their sales people. Fabulous setting.
