Had to post this fabulous Mobile Pop-Up Book Shop I came across on ShelfAwareness. Who wouldn't like to browse on bookshelves shaped like a cat? For that matter who wouldn't want to have these bookshelves in their home?
Numabookcat is a Mobile Pop-Up Book Shop in Japan.
Arts collective NAM has teamed up with Numabooks to create a mobile pop-up book shop shaped like a cat. Visitors can purchase books from the cat but the goods are shipped via the mail when the exhibition ends. Numabookcat is on display through October 30 at NADiff Window Gallery.

So the books have to remain on the cat until the exhibition is over? I guess it's more art than bookshop, then, but I'm glad the books will be sent to people after it's over. Would make browsing weird, though. How do you know what's already been sold?
Apparently “For 4200 yen you have a little conversation with the host, who, based on those talks, will select 12 books for you. You will then get 1 book in the mail for an entire year.”
Oh, this is great, Janet! I want one.
OK, so now you've got my cats wanting this! The "rounder" one, however, thinks it needs a "book bowl" for her food...
